Marking the spot

Today a new code of conduct was launched at the Speakers’ Corner site:

This site is available between the hours lof 9.00am and 9.00pm for any member fo the public, provided that users:

• are strictly non-adversarial and non-partisan
• provide all participants with an equal opportunity to express their views within the law, and respect diversity of opinion
• conduct themselves calmly and without rancour
• seek common ground, rather than confrontation
• aim to engage, inform and enrich opinion and, wherever possible, entertain
