Is it the same as the one at Marble Arch in London where anyone can put down a soapbox and orate on any subject without fear of arrest or persecution (other than heckling of course)?
Are any subjects taboo?
Can anyone step up when it’s not pre-booked?
Can politicians be lampooned?
Can religion be promoted or vilified?
Are jokes permissible?
Can Good Causes make pleas?
etc, etc,

What are the restrictions?

I have eight speakers so far, who are prepared to talk on how the organisation they volunteer for, contributes to International Peace. Also I hope we will have some musicians to enhance the peaceful atmosphere. Some of the speakers are coming some way to talk to us, so I hope that as many people as possible will be in the audience .

I think we disagree about the main point of the worship of God. For me, faith has enabled me to celebrate the love and beauty of God (and so also the love and beauty in all of life). I see my passion for football – in spite of its corruption – in that context: when it gives me glimpses of beauty, it also gives me glimpses of God. By your own admission in the article, you know that football is corrupt, so I think your reasoning unsound as an ordained Minister of the Christian church. I would be interested to debate this at Speakers corner sometime?
