Let's celebrate Speakers Corner Lichfield

At tonight’s Speakers’ Corner commitee meeting, an exciting range of events was discussed for 2010. Upcoming include:

• Celebration of Fairtrade week in March.
• This spring a series of taster debates, including ‘do bankers deserve their bonuses’, ‘what it means to be British’ and more are set to be hosted at Speakers’ Corner, followed by fuller debates in the Cathedral.
• An event to celebrate the first anniversary of Speakers’ Corner Lichfield in May.
• An celebration of the life of Philip Larkin, including a walking tour of the city.
